R2 Logistics, Inc. Releases 2011 First Quarter Growth Results

COLUMBUS, Ohio – April 13, 2011
R2 Logistics, Inc., a third party logistics service provider, has released its growth results for the 2011 first quarter.  Data gathered for these results cover the company and its individual operating branches’ year over year percentage quarterly growth.  Figures shown are relative to four major categories; revenue, gross profit, operating percentage and total number of loads.

As a whole, R2 Logistics reports a total revenue growth of sixty-one percent.  This number correlates with a gross profit rise of 101 percent.  The favorable adjustment of growth in both areas leads to an operating percentage increase of twenty-five percent.  These numbers are supported by an expansion in a total number of loads where the figure escalated by thirty-one percent.

“We had a very good first quarter in all facets of the business,” commented Ben Gase, CEO of R2 Logistics.  “R2’s growth was affected by a better year over year freight market, as well as new freight opportunities and a better than average automotive sector.”

The growth results for R2 Logistics’ branches are as follows:

Columbus, Ohio
Revenue:  +34%
Gross Profit:  +67%
Operating Percentage: +24%
Loads:   +16%
Detroit, Michigan

Gross Profit:  +112%
Operating Percentage: +35%
Loads:    +22%
Jacksonville, Florida
Revenue:  +362%
Gross Profit:  +269%
Operating Percentage: -25%

Looking towards the second quarter of 2011, “We expect even more growth,” stated Gase.  “We have a lot of new business that will begin in April, and we expect the freight market to continue to improve in the second quarter.”
