To coincide with Super Bowl LI, R2 Logistics held the Souper Bowl Food Drive to collect canned and non-perishable food items across their entire network of branches. Each office was encouraged to bring in the most items they could during the week of January 30th to February 3rd. The office which brought the most items per person would then be named the winner. In return, the winning office then earned a catered lunch purchased by R2 and the chance to dress casually the following week.
After all the items were counted on Friday the 3rd, the R2 Charlotte branch was named the winner with 360 total items (60 items per person). Taking second place was the headquarters office with 119 items, and in third with 100 items was the Dallas Operations branch. As a whole, the company collected 784 items. Each branch will donate their items to local charities.
