R2 Logistics Honored By Inc. Magazine
Inc. magazine today announced its annual Inc. 500/5000 rankings of the fastest-growing private companies in the country.
R2 Logistics, a third party logistics provider ranks No. 575 on the list with a three-year growth percentage of 571% and ranks No. 13 in the Logistics and Transportation Industry.
R2 Logistics was founded in 2005 by President and CEO, Ben Gase. Building off the R2 motto Reliable Service. Relentless Passion. Gase believed a better quality of service could be offered to companies who were looking for a solution to their logistics problems. “Focusing on customer service and making it our first priority has contributed to the growth we’ve seen,” commented Gase. As a non-asset based transportation provider, R2 meets their customers’ capacity needs by accessing their network of over 16,000 contracted transportation providers.
“It’s a great honor to be listed with such an outstanding group of companies that have made this year’s list,” stated Gase. “More than anything this is a great award for our people who have been working so hard the past three or four years so we could get to this point. The keys to our continued success are not being complacent with where we stand now, as well as, hiring more good people who will put in the effort needed.”
In a stagnant economic environment, median growth rate of 2011 Inc. 500|5000 companies remains an impressive 94 percent. The companies on this year’s list report having created 350,000 jobs in the past three years, and aggregate revenue among the honorees reached $366 billion, up 14 percent from last year.
“As an Inc. 5000 honoree, R2 Logistics shares a prestigious pedigree with such notable alumni as Intuit, Zappos, Under Armour, Microsoft, Jamba Juice, Timberland, Clif Bar, Patagonia, Oracle, Zipcar, and scores of other powerhouses,” wrote Jane Berentson, Editor in Chief of Inc. magazine. “For more than 30 years, Inc.’s list has served as evidence of the significant accomplishments of enterprises…And, more than ever, this year’s list is a testament to the creativity, resilience, and tenacity of America’s top entrepreneurs.”
The 2011 Inc. 500 is ranked according to percentage revenue growth when comparing 2007 to 2010. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2007.
