R2 Logistics Aids In Time of Crisis

COLUMBUS, Ohio – April 20, 2011

R2 Logistics, Inc., a third party logistics service provider, has announced today that it has joined in the support of Japan after the destructive tsunami that struck on March 11, 2011. Donations were collected from all R2 Logistics employees who wanted to participate and then contributed to the American Red Cross to aid in the relief efforts. In conjunction, the total amount donated by R2 employees was matched by the company and personally by CEO, Ben Gase.

Gase commented on his personal contribution by saying, “It’s essential to give in times of crisis.” Also commenting on the donation was CFO, Art Gase.  Art has visited Japan over a dozen times in the past for business. On these trips he did more than conduct business.  He was able to become friends and was taken into the homes of the people who lived there.

“These are real people, real families, and real friends,” commented Art on the situation. “To see everything washed away, to be here one day and gone the next, is heart breaking.  I’m just thrilled our company is able to do something to help.”
