Jacksonville, FL – June 30, 2014

On Saturday, June 28th R2 Logistics associates joined in the R.O.C. (Ridiculous Obstacle Course) Race in Concord, North Carolina. R.O.C. Race is the original game show-inspired 5K obstacle run featuring 12 larger than life obstacles including the Wrecking Ball, Jump Balls, and the World’s Largest Inflatable Water Slide. Proceeds from R.O.C. Race support the Challenged Athletes Foundation.

Established in 1997, the Challenged Athletes Foundation recognizes the athletic greatness inherent in all people with physical challenges and supports their athletic endeavors by providing unparalleled sports opportunities that lead to success in sports — and in life. The Challenged Athletes Foundation believes that involvement in sports at any level increases self-esteem, encourages independence and enhances quality of life.

R2 associates running in the R.O.C. Race included Derek Hirsch, Andrew Reukauf, Jim Roche and Jeff Schroeder. Derek Hirsch commented on the race by saying, “The R.O.C. Race was amazing! It was fun to see my co-workers get knocked off a balance beam into a pool of water by a giant red ball.” Jim Roche also added, ““Monkey bars are harder than I remember, but any 5K that ends with a water slide is okay with me.”
