On Saturday, April 11th, the Charlotte operations office became Spartans for a day by participating in the Charlotte Spartan Sprint. The Spartan Sprint is part of the Spartan Race series sponsored by Reebok. Born in the Vermont hills, Spartan Race was created to bring the excitement of obstacle racing to spectators and athletes alike. With course lengths of 3+miles (Sprint), 8+miles (Super) and 12+miles (Beast) each course is filled with mud, water and signature obstacles designed to help participants discover their inner “Spartan”.
In addition to running the Spartan Sprint, the Charlotte team also held an office challenge during the month leading up to the race to see who could log the most miles by running or walking. Charlie Evans finished the challenge in first place with a total of 14.5 miles, followed by Greg Kay with 13 and Jim Roche with 12.
